BEFORE AND AFTER PICS!!

I use GIMP to edit my pictures! I don't make too many major changes, but I want to see how different my works loo ;D I've been using GIMP for a while now. But I have not made GIMP edits on SIMS 3 screenshots, so I'm still skeptical and whatnot. Here's my attempt to make changes on my screenshots.https://charahub.com/character/121082/Lady-Ross/public/

This is one of my sims. Her name is Lady :) she comes out in a story of mine and this is how she looks like.
Before:
(I cropped the picture for different reasons but whatever. )
AFTER!
I didn't make a lot of changes to her because I'm still new at this and I didn't want to mess her up. But the biggest change would be the colors. I decreased the saturation so the background would have a more serious mood.

I also did a lot of smudging. Her hair in the first picture looked very stiff and not very natural. Also, the hem of her shirt looked odd so i tried to smudge it some more so it would look a bit more natural. That didn't go too well. But anyway, I smudged the areas with the most pixels, especially the  edges to get rid of those pixels!

I also used the airbrush to make the shadowing more prominent in hopes of making her look a bit more serious like the background. I mostly added shadows on the left side of her face, her neck and her chest area. I also added shine to her hair so that it wouldn't look too dark (concealing the highlights), so now you can see the highlights a little better :)

Finally, I used the dodge tool to make her eyes brighter and her lips more shiny. Its a really effective tool if you don't over do it.

Anyway, that was Lady :)
Now, onto...Roland! >:D

Before:

I use a lighting mod that makes the game seem more realistic; it's a beautiful mod, but in this case it doesn't have the effect I wanted :'(
AFTER

Similarly to Lady, I changed the color of the background so he wouldn't look too orange. So basically I decreased the saturation and it gives him a nice tone to his skin (which is what I wanted :D).

Also, his hair looks crappy on the first picture, so I used the smudge tool to fix it. All I did was follow the direction of the hair (the smudge tool can be REALLY tricky to use, it's the difference between making something look nice or awful). Like before, I smudged the edges because of those annoying pixels that make him look...odd.

I added some shine using the dodge tool to his eyes and his earrings so they stand out more.

I then increased the shadows on his cheek to make his cheekbones a bit more prominent.

I didn't make too many changes on Roland. I'm still trying D': so be patient with me!
